About Me

My name is Emily, I am a photographer from Huntsville, AL in the USA. My interest in photography began 30 years ago when I signed up to take a photography class to learn about my new 35mm camera. So, yes, I have been working at my craft for many years. My simple interest began leaning towards a full-blown passion when I entered into my first photography competition……AND I PLACED!! I have been hooked ever since.

I belong to the Huntsville Photographic Society where I have achieved the highest level, Master Photographer. The subject matters I enjoy photographing the most are landscapes, water in its various forms, wildlife, flowers, and abstracts. I feel I have a knack for viewing the world through a camera lens.

I have attended a variety of workshops all over the world. I strive to continuously hone my craft by capturing amazing images and learning from some of the best instructors in the industry. I plan to continue perfecting my skill sets while traveling and enjoying the beauty of our majestic planet.  I look forward to sharing my experiences and photographs with you.

 In 2021, I completed four exciting photo trips.  I visited Capitol Reef National Park in Utah to explore the unusual vistas there, traveled to California and Oregon for coastline and redwood forest photography, spent a week on a boat in Glacier Bay, Alaska, shooting landscapes and wildlife, and toured Maine and the Acadia National Park photographing landscapes ranging from amazing fall color in dense hardwood forests to the famous, rugged Atlantic coastline. 

A trip to New Zealand to capture her stunning landscapes in winter had to be rescheduled to 2022.  I'm hopeful that we will be allowed to enter the country in August.  And many more adventures await.

I created a website so that I can share my trip narratives and photographs from all my adventures with my family, friends, peers, people around the world and most importantly -- you!
